Town Hall - Level 4 - Farming

Town Hall 4 adds a few things to your base but nothing to write home about.  It's just one Town Hall in your way before you can get that Wizard Tower!  Additions for this level Town Hall are another Archer Tower, Air Defense, Spring Traps, and another Barracks.

Below are several charts on the available buildings at Town Hall 4.  They show some very valuable information.  Please always double check the wiki to make sure these values are up-to-date.  The graphic I use to represent each building in my layout is also shown on the far right.

Layout / Base Perimeter
My intention for this design was to put each Storage in its own compartment.  My goal was for maximum protection while farming resources.  The Town Hall is put out to the side with buildings placed so that troops are still within range when attacking the Town Hall.

Note: If you don't have all the Builder's Huts shown you can remove the ones in the corners.  The others are placed for funneling purposes.

Trap Placement
With the addition of Spring Traps you can now effectively make Funneling Channels.  I've done so around the Mortar to keep Giants occupied walking around the base attacking other defense while the Mortar chips away at their health.

The other obvious placement of the Bombs.  While they don't do a lot of extra damage they still add damage to any Barbarians trying to take out the Town Hall.  I've also placed buildings so that it is more likely these will go off.

Mortar Coverage
The Mortar is placed in the center of the base for maximum protection of all your defenses and resources.  It is enclosed in its own set of walls making a total of two sets of  walls (plus other defenses) before it can be taken down.

Cannon Coverage
Cannons are placed so that they both cover the Mortar.  This way if a set of Giants enter one compartment the other Cannon in the other compartment can cover it.  They also cover the resources and Archer Towers.

Archer Tower Coverage
Similar to the Cannons the Archer Towers provide double coverage on the Mortar and the Cannons.  Because there are four single target defenses (Archer Towers and Cannons) they create a perfect circle around your base.

Air Defense Coverage
At this stage the only thing the Air Defense needs to worry about are Balloons.  While they can do a lot of damage Balloons are tricky to work with and most people will fail in such early levels while they figure it out.  I don't consider the Air Defense to be much of a priority at Town Hall 4 so I've place it outside the base.

Clan Castle Reinforcements
The Clan Castle is near to the center of the base and closest to the Town Hall.  This protects your most everything need protecting.
